Revolutionary IPL therapy for Smoother, improved skin

We’re all born with a luminous even complexion, but as we age a variety of conditions can impact the look of our skin. Age and sunspots, acne, pigmentation, and broken capillaries can leave us turning to makeup and photo filters for an even, lit-from-within glow. IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments can address skin concerns, such as sun damage, acne, pigmentation and vascular lesions (Rosacea), while simultaneously boosting production of skin-firming proteins like collagen and elastin. Results include visible improvement in skin tone and texture, an even complexion and a youthful, healthy glow.

Clear Dermatology provides high-tech IPL treatments using the LUCENT device by LUVO. See below to learn about the skin concerns we treat with IPL. Experience little to no downtime post treatment, with significant results after just 2-4 treatments. Call to schedule a consultation to learn all the ways IPL treatments can help you reach your skincare goals.

Treatment options with IPL at Clear Dermatology:

Acne

IPL is an effective treatment for acne. Our IPL technology emits specific wavelengths of light to target P. acnes bacteria, resulting in the selective destruction of the bacteria. With ongoing treatment, patients will notice an improvement in active acne, possible reduction in future breakouts, and overall healthier-looking skin.

Pigmentation & Sun Damage

IPL is a popular choice used to treat one of the most popular patient complaints – photoaged skin. Our selection of IPL device filters empowers Dr. Mueller to target different pigment and skin concerns such as freckles, age spots, melasma, vascular lesions (Rosacea), and general dullness with the appropriate wavelength, leaving your patient with improved skin tone.

Hair Removal

IPL safely and effectively removes hair from the face, neck, chin, and body by targeting melanin found in the hair follicle. The melanin absorbs the light and transforms it into thermal energy, destroying the hair follicle and preventing future growth for long-term results.

Skin Rejuvenation – "Photorejuvenation"

Photorejuvenation is a non-invasive IPL rejuvenation treatment aimed to improve the look of fine wrinkles and tighten the skin. By heating collagen fibers and stimulating fibroblasts over a series of treatments, patients in several studies have observed an improvement in dermal volume and skin texture.

Vascular Lesions (Rosacea)

IPL improves vascular lesions (Rosacea) by raising the blood vessel temperature high enough to cause its coagulation. LUCENT’s advanced pulse modes enable the delivery of light energy to the vessel over longer periods of time. This results in gentle and even coagulation over the entire vessel, reducing the chance of rupture, purpura, and hyperpigmentation for patients.
