Meet OUR PROVIDERS

Jennifer L. Mueller, Md faad

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Mueller spent most of her childhood in Southern California. When she was younger, she told everyone that she wanted to be a Disney artist. She decided to become a physician when she was 10 years old, and has followed that same path ever since. She moved to Virginia her senior year in high school, and chose Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude for both her undergraduate degree in Biology in 1999 and Master's degree in neuroendocrinology in 2001. When it came time to choose a medical school, she chose Eastern Virginia Medical School. It had everything that she could have ever wanted, and it was 10 minutes away from her family so she got to spend those four years with her younger sister who was in high school at the time. As a first-year, she started the first of the many medical missions she has undertaken over the years in the Appalachian Mountains. In 2005 she was awarded the National Service Award for volunteerism by The American Medical Association. In her final year of medical school, she was selected to study at the University of Edinburgh for two months, and worked in the infectious disease unit of the Western General Hospital. In her third year of medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, a society only awarded to the top medical students across the country. In her fourth year of medical school, she was awarded the Faulkner Award, given to the top medical student in pathology.

She was accepted into her dermatology residency and began training at Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2005. She completed her internal medicine year in 2006 and went on to dermatology residency at Drexel University and completed her Chief Year of Residency in 2009. In her last year of residency, she was awarded the American Academy of Dermatology Residents International Grant and partnered with the University Of Pennsylvania to work as a dermatologist in Gaborone, Botswana. She achieved her board certification in Dermatology in 2009 and re-certified in 2019. Dr. Mueller has had numerous publications and presentations throughout her career. Most recently, in June of 2019, Dr. Mueller was invited to present at the World Congress of Dermatology in Milan, Italy concerning the resurgence of Pellagra in developed countries.

In 2009, Dr. Mueller began practicing dermatology in Pennsylvania and continued practicing at that same practice until December 2021, when she decided to open her own practice in Berks County.

As to what brought Dr. Mueller to Berks county, she did an away rotation in Abington the winter of 2005 and met a chief resident in ENT. She and her husband Darryl went on their first date that December and have been together ever since. Darryl finished his residency and started working in Reading, Pennsylvania later that year. They moved to Berks County the following year and welcomed their bright, funny, sweet, and inquisitive son Jackson in 2011. They have been so fortunate to have so many friends in Berks County and at their son’s school, The Wyndcroft School. Dr. Mueller loves being involved in the Junior League of Reading, her favorite volunteer activity was and will always be the Young Women’s Summit (her son’s will always be serving dinner at Olivet’s Thanksgiving Dinner). In her free time, she loves Pilates, cooking, drawing, snowboarding, and reading a great book. Their family loves to travel, and can't wait to get back as soon as possible. Her greatest pleasure has always been derived from her family and her patients. Dr. Mueller is humbled by those who place their care in her, and she can’t wait to see each one of you.

Jennifer Dankel, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Jennifer grew up in Pennsylvania by the New York State border and spent her childhood incredibly active, pole vaulting and running cross country track at the Pennsylvania state level, snowboarding, working inside a restaurant alongside a chef throughout high school – but always achieving top grades academically. She always wanted to work in medicine, and Jennifer chose Albright College in Reading, PA to pursue an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology (2004), followed by a Master in Physician Assistant Studies (2006) at Philadelphia University, now Thomas Jefferson University.

She has since been practicing medicine as a certified Physician Assistant for over 15 years. She was recruited by Guthrie Healthcare Systems out of graduate school and worked in the Guthrie Sayre, PA hospital and clinic until 2013 and then Arnot Ogden Medical Center and an area urgent care facility until 2016. During that time, she married her college sweetheart, Andrew, and began a family – she now has 3 sons who are following in their parents' footsteps with diverse interests in athletics, academics, food, and technology. Desire to be closer to friends and family brought them back into Berks County in 2016, when she initially decided to take a position at an ENT practice in the area.

Her passion has always been in dermatology, and she has been on her search for a perfect fit! Jen is extremely excited to have found a kindred spirit in Dr. Mueller (they even have the same first and middle names!), and she is energized by the Clear Dermatology vision – to offer the highest quality dermatological services to our community, enriching the lives of our patients. In her free time, Jen loves being active with her boys, cooking gourmet meals for her family and friends, enjoying a glass of wine on her deck and, of course, celebrating all holidays, especially Halloween!
